RSS is a format for displaying news and content blogs and news sites. RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". An RSS document is called a "feed", "web feed" or "channel".

RSS content can be read using software called RSS Readers. The user can subscribe to a feed by entering the link into the reader. Then the reader can check the subscribed feeds regularly for new content.
