The Conservatives continued to block the Kyoto Bill (C-288) yesterday. In yet another odd development, the Deputy Leader of the Government in the Senate staged a minor filibuster by tabling 36 old government media releases. He kept going long enough to use up all the time available until Question Period was called. So nothing new could be introduced, including a report on Official Languages which had been scheduled for release (frantic emails were sent out in an attempt to retrieve copies of the report that had been routinely distributed in expectation that normal practice would be followed).

Did I say the Kyoto Bill might be passed? Not likely if this delay tactic is repeated day in, day out. Stay tuned for further episodes as the mini-drama unfolds.

For the last ten years I have been working on environmentally related projects in refineries. For the last four years all ove the projects have been related to Low Suphur Gasoline and Ultea low Sulphur Diesel. The refineries have spent billions on these projects. The regulations went into effect 2004 and 2005. Now you want to know why gas prices are rising. It is expensive to produce low sulphur fuel.

If the government wants to get a majority all they have to do is let the opposition vote in C-288. I will sell all my stocks immediately. In six monthe we will want to hang the opposition.
